Section 1 Privacy Policy

Outback Fencing values and respects the customer privacy, and it is an important part of our relationship with our customers. The following policy applies to all Outback Fencing users, and we are committed to protecting your privacy, complying with the Privacy Act 1988, and other applicable privacy laws/regulations.

This Privacy Policy details how we collect, store, use, and disclose our user’s personal information. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us directly.

 

Section 2 Personal Information

‘Personal Information’ in regard to data and privacy refers to a broad range of information, or an opinion, that could identify an individual. Described below is how we, collect your personal information, secure your data, what we use it for, and where we have to disclose it.

         2.1 – Collection of Information

Any information collected by Outback Fencing is collected via correspondence from you or your company. These situations may include, but aren’t limited to, collected directly through our website, email/mail, fax, interactions over the phone, applying for a position with us, and interactions in person.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address. This provides us information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

In order to use the Outback Fencing website and our services, we may require information from you. All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support, and accounts, including email.

The personal information we may collect about you (but not limited to) include:

  • Phone Number
  • Shipping Address

2.2 – Use of Collected Information

Collection of data and our user’s information is required in order to provide our products/services, and a high level of customer service.

For example, we need your shipping address to ensure our product(s) are delivered on time and to the right person. Correspondence is also recorded in order to provide service references, and assist in our staff development.

With your permission, we may also send you email updates about our store, new products, and other news. Outback Fencing will ask you directly for your expressed consent, and/or provide you the opportunity to opt-out.

Any marketing email and/or newsletter we send has the option to withdraw consent at any time. Our users also have the ability at any time to withdraw consent for us contacting you, continued collection of data, usage, and disclosure of your information at any time.

2.3 – Storage of Collected Information

The security of your personal information is of utmost importance to us. If you ever enter sensitive information, for example, credit card numbers on our website, we ensure that information is encrypted. This is done through secure socket layer technology, commonly known as SSL. Information such as credit card details are only processed for orders as required.

At Outback Fencing, we comply with the standard of Internet Privacy Standards and Australia’s laws and regulations regarding privacy. This includes when we receive personal information, how we store it, and how we use it.

            2.4 – Access to Collected Information

At any time, if your personally identifiable information changes (for example: change in name or address), you can correct or update it.

If you no longer wish to use our services, you also have the right to correct, update and delete your personal information at any time, and deactivate your account(s) with us.

2.5 – Disclosing Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in accordance with this Policy in circumstances where you would reasonably expect us to disclose your information.

In regard to sharing information to other third parties for services for our website, see Section 3. We also reserve the right to disclose your personal identifiable information as required by law, and when we believe disclosure is necessary.

This includes but is not limited to, to protect our rights, and/or to comply with a court order, judicial proceedings, and other legal processes.

2.6 – Communication

Outback Fencing uses personal information, such as our customer’s email address and number for essential communication.

We may also use this information for other purposes, including promotional emails. If a user ever wishes to withdraw from this, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by contacting us (see Section 7).

If your information is ever collected by a third-party entity that is not our agent/service provider, you will be notified. You will be given the opportunity to make an informed decision as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

 

Section 3 Third Parties

Outback Fencing is not liable or responsible for how any third-party platforms or tools we link to or mention handles your privacy and personal information.

This policy, terms, and conditions, only cover the domain, subdomains, and pages, for outbackfencing.com.au and our customers.

We may also collect personal information from third parties, or through publicly available sources.

         3.1 – Sharing Information

At our discretion, we may use third party websites or tools to provide essential services on our website or for business processes. In this case, it may be necessary for us to share details as necessary for that service.

When this happens, these third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose aside from providing the service/tool.

Outback Fencing will not share any information with third parties for any unknown or unrelated reasons.

In the case that our store is ever acquired or merged with another party, your information will be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue to sell products to you.

You can also choose to opt-out, withdraw your consent, and delete your account/data at any time.

3.2 – Transferring Information Overseas

In the case that any third-party service providers we disclose personal information to is based or have servers located outside of Australia, we take all reasonable steps to ensure your data is secure and proper privacy practices are maintained.

We will also only disclose to third-party entities overseas if: (1) you have given us your consent to disclose information to that party; or (2) we reasonably believe that the overseas recipient is subject to a law or binding scheme that is substantially similar to the APPs, and can be enforced; or (3) the disclosure is required or authorised by an Australian law and/or court/tribunal matter.

 

Section 4 Orders

If you purchase a product(s) from us, or use our services, we will request certain personal information. You may be required to provide contact information, and financial information.

This includes, but isn’t limited to: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and your credit card number.

We use this information for billing purposes only, and to fill your orders. If there are ever any issues with your order, we will also use this information to contact you.

 

Section 5 Payments

At Outback Fencing, we use the PAYPAL & EWAY Payment Gateway for our online credit card transactions. This payment gateway is the norm for Australian merchants, providing a safe, and secure means of collecting payments on the internet. All online credit card transactions performed on Outback Fencing’s store using the PAYPAL and EWAY gateway are secured payments.

 

Section 6 Changes to Privacy Policy

Outback Fencing reserves the right to modify its Privacy and Security Policy at any time. If we make any material changes to this policy, we will notify you either – on this page, contact you via email, or put a notice on our homepage.
